"it's all about Him"

These "Tenets of Faith" listed below are not intended to be an exhaustive source of material for biblical view, but rather a concise summary of the fundamental doctrines found in Scripture to which we adhere to.

The Holy Bible
We believe that all scripture to be the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Oneness of God
We believe that there is One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God, and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 6:5-6)

We believe that this One God was manifested in the flesh through Jesus Christ
God was Father in creation, Son in redemption and is the Holy Spirit empowering the believer to live a victorious life in Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 3:16)
|
Divinity of Christ
We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth and in His sinless life.  We believe in His horrifying death and burial.  We believe that through His shed blood and atoning death, we have forgiveness of sins and are reconciled back to the Father.  We further believe in His bodily resurrection and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father where He reigns as King.  We further believe in Christ’s return to earth in power and glory  (Acts 2:22-36; Revelation 19:11-16)

The Fall of Man and His Redemption
We believe that by the sin of one man, Adam, all men are born with a sinful nature and in need of salvation (Romans 5:12-21).

We believe that salvation comes through the new birth.  Water baptism and spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential. This salvation is a work of grace received through repentance, confession and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord ...and not as a result of good works.  (St. John 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Baptism in Water
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins  (St. John 3:5, Acts 2:38)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to all who will ask of Him and will lead, guide and empower  (Acts 2:4, 2:38-39; 10:44-48; 19:1-6)

Sanctification
We believe
in the process of sanctifying the spirit-man by the Word of God and power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in the heart of the believer enabling him to live a holy life. (Romans 8:5-14; Ephesians 4:21-32, 5:26)

The Return of our LORD
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the lost.  The saved or regenerated souls will receive eternal life and the lost souls eternal damnation.
(St. John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:50-58: Revelation 20:11-15)

Although the term, rapture, is not mentioned in the bible, we believe the catching away of believers and return of Christ to the earth is clearly said in scripture.  The angels said, "…This same Jesus... shall so come in like manner" (Acts 1:11).  His coming is soon. “… For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  The we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”  (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17)
